In August of 2017, I went to visit my parents, for the occasion of My Mam’s birthday. On the morning that I would fly back to New York, indeed, as I was leaving for the airport, my niece, Ashley, used my camera to make these photos of me and Mama. All the photos are here - I’ve chosen to leave none out because looking at all the photos together shows the action of love. There are some blinking pics, some double chins, and some other physical missteps that people like to cover up in photo editing apps. I don’t want that. I want the truth.
